This morning we woke up with the best of intentions to go hiking up to Mingo falls. We went out to the truck and it was raining. The mountains were covered in dark, foggy clouds and we were not going up there. We went for breakfast at IHOP and then we had to think of something to do. We decided to go to WonderWorks and we had a very good time.
This is the front
This is the Transformation Tunnel
Its spins and by the time you get all the way through it feels like you are going to flip upside down.
The Rock Wall
He made it all the way to the top!
The Quake Cafe
We experienced a 6.0 on the Richter Scale
(can you tell that the hour difference in the time was making me exhausted?)
Played a huge piano
Laid on a Bed of Nails
We tested the strength of our grips to see who was stronger... I was just as strong as him (haha)When we left it was still raining a little. We stopped at McDonald's on the way to the room and spent a couple hours there. We really didn't want to spend a whole lot of time couped up, so we decided to find something to do. It cleared up a little and we went to Newfound Gap.
On the way up, we saw some pretty amazing views and some beautiful things that we never get to see. Here are just a few:
We didn't get a picture of the view from the top because it was so cloudy.
We rode the Gatlinburg Sky Lift and I went bare-footed.
I had on flip flops because I decided to go see a waterfall which turned into a hike in ballerina flats. They had this one girl looking at my feet on the way up and looking at her dad like I had lost my mind. I couldn't let them fall off my feet! Then I would have really been shoeless.
We are leaving at 3 AM and heading to Shreveport to possible pick up my puppy!!! So, more later on that.
