First of all, I just want to say that last night was my first night without any kids. Also, it was spent grocery shopping with my husband, and although that hasn't always been the dream date that I've waited and waited for... it was wonderful!
We (and when I say "we" I really mean "my husband") got farther along on the room. The lime green wall is now painted, a new ceiling fan is in place, new door handles on the doors and new blinds hung in the window. We are just waiting on the floor to come in.
Speaking of the floor... we get a call Monday telling us that our floor had arrived. So, we went to Home Depot to pick it up and we had to wait a while for them to bring it up front. (this is nothing new.. when we wanted to order it we waited an hour and a half for someone to assist us.. they are short-handed I guess)
When the lady walked up she said "when they ordered the floor they put in the wrong order number and they sent 12 signs instead."
So we said "signs??"
"Yes, like display signs with prices"
Ummmmmmm... ok? That is exactly what we would like to put in our house! Then she asked what we wanted to do... Hmmmmm, we'll just take those signs and put them to use.. haha. Of course we reassured her that we would indeed like to reorder the floors. So they'll be in on the 2nd.
Yesterday, we prerecorded our puppet voices for the puppet show! Our superintendent is the one who puts on all these fun kids camps and VBS shows, and he got a call to go and do a day camp for another church in our state. This is so exciting.. it means we will be going and doing more puppet shows!! Now that its prerecorded, if one of us can't make it then someone will just have to work the puppet and not have to worry about knowing the parts.
Also, I had the baby this past couple of days, and really enjoyed that! He is the sweetest little baby ever. I miss him already.
The girls come home from their momma's house today.
In other news, my sister got an apartment and a car all in one day!! God is soo good!!! She is very excited! She is working at that new job and she is getting the hang of it very well. I'm very proud of her and happy that everything is falling into place for her.
Well, that's about all I can think of for now.. Pretty soon I'll be sharing a surprise!! I'm excited about it but nervous at the same time.
Other than that, we are having anniversary services the rest of this week. Its gonna be some great services and I can't wait to see what God does!!!
