Our surprise is so precious and beautiful!!! We have even had it before, so here is some background info...
About two years ago, we got ourselves a boxer. A flashy dark fawn male. Docked and floppy. He was so precious, but when my husband was away at work, he was a handful and didn't listen at.all.
My brother-in-law, T, seen him and said how he really liked him and always wanted a boxer. So we called him one day and asked him if he wanted Kota. He came and picked him up and would occasionally send pics and stuff.
The girls would say "Momma, do you miss Kota? I miss Kota".
I would say "no I don't, and I'll never have another dog in my house".
Well, wouldn't you know, a couple weeks ago we got a call from T. He wanted to know if we wanted Kota back. Of course my husband told him we would call back, so we could talk it over. When he got off the phone I told him that we would take him back.. because I like to eat my words and stuff.
T brought Kota home and tomorrow he will be officially 2 years old. T hadn't brought him to the vet or kept up with heartworm prevention. I brought him to the vet yesterday to get him all tested and stuff. He has hookworms and worse.. heartworms. Its in the early stages. Treatment will probably be successful, but we will have to keep him completely still, so that his lungs don't clot and kill him. He is a very active dog, but we are going to try our best.
The first day he came here I was totally in love. He is housebroken, knows simple commands and still thinks he is a lap dog (he is 54.3 lbs and taller. He'll gain weight after the worms are out his system). I am so glad we got him back, and have to admit that I would be heartbroken if something happened. He is just completely precious!!!
Here are a few pics that I took of him since he has been home.
